Medical Center Manager
Medical Center Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of FE Medical Center. She coordinates the team and resources to ensure every patient receives smooth, organized, and quality care.
Medical Director · Family Medicine
Medical Director of FE Medical Center and Family Medicine specialist with 45 years of experience. A graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine with residency at St. Johns Episcopal Hospital (1984). He provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from preventive screenings to managing acute and chronic conditions.
Primary Care · Occupational Medicine
Primary care physician with more than 30 years of experience and a strong background in Occupational Medicine. He earned his medical degree and Family Medicine specialty at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and, after passing the USMLE exams, completed postgraduate clinical training in Puerto Rico. His practice focuses on preventive medicine and chronic disease management. He sees patients in Spanish and English.
Psychiatry
With over 30 years of clinical experience in general psychiatry, Dr. Mejia specializes in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. He develops individualized treatment plans with a compassionate, patient-centered and evidence-informed approach.
Internal Medicine
Board-certified internal medicine physician with 14 years of experience, trained at Wayne State University with residency at Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship at Rutgers/UMDNJ. She manages acute and complex adult conditions including heart failure, GI disorders, and broad primary care. Fluent in English and Spanish.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Graduated with honors as a physician from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (2014), with experience in General Surgery and Trauma. After moving to the United States he earned his Registered Nurse (RN) license and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), combining his medical training with advanced nursing practice. He has practiced in step-down units, post-anesthesia care (PACU), ambulatory surgery, dialysis and primary care.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C)
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and AANP board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with more than 25 years of healthcare experience in primary care, women’s health and chronic disease management. She earned her medical degree and Family Medicine specialty training at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río and her Master of Science in Nursing at Miami Regional University. Fluent in English and Spanish.
Mental Health Counseling
Bilingual Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) with over five years of experience caring for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. She offers individual therapy, group therapy and behavioral therapy for children, supporting anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, self-esteem, emotional regulation and life transitions. Her approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions.
